Norwegian mountains

The summer is coming to an end, it`s sad, couse it has been truly wonderful. Here are som pics from Norway, taken during some of our hiking trips.

On our way towards Tromtind in Troms, close to where we live.

Adrian and the view from Tromtind.

On our way up the top of Lamlitind in Vesteraalen where Veronika`s parents live.

The top, Lamlitind. We reached the top at 11pm. I wish we had a pic of the midnight sun but unfortunately this was a cloudy day.

More summer

It's actually been so warm that we've had to dip our toes in the sea. Adrian stayed in for half an hour. Note how SOS found a very convenient stone to stand on after 10 seconds in the water. :-)

Out for a little hike, and Adrian wants a stick fight. He found the sticks - and dirstibuted them as he saw fit.

Mmmm....hot chocolate!

But most fun is of course to splash in the puddles along the way!

The place to be

We've gotten ourselves a "meis" that makes it possible to do some hiking with Adrian on the back. He finds it comfy enough!

And on the mountain it is of course time for hot chocolate and raisins, regardless of weather.

Out skiing

A few wintery pictures now that the sun is firmly back on the sky and skiing is a favourite pasttime.

When skiing we need a "pulk", where Adrian sleeps very well while we're going uphill, and has great fun downhill. For the guy in front the uphill is not all that relaxing...

He's comfy in there. :-)

This is how one might find the car on a wintery morning. Takes a few extra minutes to get to work.

Adrian is a useful helping hand when it is time to get rid of the snow:

Winter in Tromsø

As we are getting used to our new life in Tromsø, the weather has been beautiful, cold and snowy. The dark season is over as the sun has returned after two months in hiding. Veronika is back at work five days a week and Adrian spends his days at childcare. Adrian loves the place, the staff and playing with other kids all day long.

Here are some pics from right outside our new home.

This is a way of getting around that wouldn`t work as good in Sydney!

Today we went to the beach, and as you can see a trip to the beach in Norway in February is not quite the same as a trip to the beach in Sydney this time of the year. But we brought hot chocolate and waffles and had a great time anyway.

On Ice!

This is his first time on ice, and I think he did quite good!

Off course he had some falls as well....

Later that day he got dressed for the Christmas party. His great grandmother made this jacket for him.
