I love my baby brother

Daniel is four weeks already, can`t believe it! Adrian is still the best big brother.

Our little baby boy, cute as ever. Still looks a lot like Adrian did this age.
Adrians favourite game at the moment is running, watch out! His favourite thing is Lightning McQueen from the Disney movie Cars. Our home is invaded by it at the time. The King is on his hat. I had to put it there in order for him to use it.

17. MAI!

The 17th. of May is the Norwegian national day. It is a day for the children, as they get to walk in parades with all their friends, play different games and eat a lot of sweets. Adrian dressed up in this "bunad" (sort of national outfit, comes in a lot of varietes) which was made for his uncle Robin 20 years ago.

He felt really dressed up and proud! I was really nervous up front if he would agree to wear it or not, but that was no problem at all. Here is a pic from the parade for all the kindergardens in Tromsø.
Daniel slept through the whole parade. But the best part of the day is that it is an "law" that allows you to eat as many ice creams as you would like on the 17.th of May. Adrian ended up eating 3.

Welcome Daniel!

Family of four!
Daniel was born on the 24th of April, 3740 g and 52 cm. He looks a lot like Adrian when he was a baby, in fact it is hard to tell them apart on pictures.

Adrian is a proud big brother and can`t wait to teach him how to play with all his toys. He thinks Daniel is very small, and thus he needs very small toys. He might be excpecting a little too much of his baby brother at this time, lets just hope he not too disappointed of him! Up until now he has been quite gentle and caring, lets hope it lasts...
We have just arrived home from hospital and things are going fine at the moment! The delivery was a lot easier this time around and mum are feeling a lot better than after Adrian was born.

Stormy skiing

Adrian and Daddy was out for some skiing with Adrian in his "pulk". We were surprised by some bad weather, but Adrian was well clothed and the pulk stood up to the conditions so Adrian just slept through most of the action.

Snowy and windy, but Adrian is fine!

Sleeping tight.

Reaching the car, quite a bit of snow had assembled in the pulk, but Adrian is warm and cozy inside. A told we were out in the weather for an hour or so, and chocolate and raisins in the car was perfect!

Gingerbread boy

Adrian's kindergarden had carnival with a "fairy tale" theme this year, and Adrian dressed up as the gingerbread boy. It makes a lot more sense in English than Norwegian, but noone seemed too bothered by that. Sadly we only have a rather poor mobile phone picture of him in the costume.

Egypt

A dark and rainy winter's day in Tromsø we left for week in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, where we enjoyed the sun, warm and beach in manners reminding us all of Australia. We brought along the full set of grandparents, so Adrian was well looked after through the week, and well fed on whatever he desired. He also took inspiration from the old folks and enjoyed the sun on the sun bed.

And swimming in the pool.

We attended a dolphin show, which was extremely exciting.

Obviously we saw a camel. Adrian found them a bit too large for comfort.

However, asking him in what he remembers from Egypt, the answer is always "they have chocolate milk!" Some memories stick.
